It's always nice to build a completely bespoke camper but they do take some time and effort.
Our client had a pretty good idea of what they wanted but the hard part was making it all fit and work in the chosen van.
The van in question was a 2005 Mercedes Sprinter and the big issue was getting camper parts to fit that model of van.
Transporter or Transit, no problem, or even the last model of Sprinter, but this one was a challenge.
This coupled, with some quite specific customer requirements made for an entertaining build.
The van features a WC and basin in a separate room behind the driver's seat, extending L-shaped bed/seating area at the rear of the van, Belfast sink with heated hot water, 3 burner gas hob and numerous lighting set-ups.
The electrics have twin AGM batteries, 150W solar panel, CTek charging system, 1500W inverter, auto change-over switch and electric hook-up.
The van is fully sound deadened and insulated and has an Eberspacher diesel heater too.
